Summer is in Full Swing!

Summer season means camp drop off/pick-ups as well as a huge selection of outdoor hiking and activities for couples celebrating a special date or just embracing a Mentone vacation. The days are long and the sunsets spectacular in the evening. At the B&B we are watching our largest peach tree (heavy with fruit just outside the kitchen window) and anticipating Peach Breakfast Brioche or Peach Pie made from OUR OWN peaches - mid July is our guess. No bear sightings lately, but we have a momma silver fox and two kits about as well as our resident groundhogs and many, many deer. For those planning a summer stay, we encourage guests to prioritize taking in a sunset on one night of your stay. Brow Park, just down the road, has beautiful views, but we think the best seats are on our expansive deck - maybe with a pizza from the Mentone Market or with a sweet treat from the refreshment bar (tonight it will be pecan pie). Each season is special on Lookout Mountain, and as we approach the excitement of the fourth of July weekend, it is already time to anticipate fall and even Christmastime. Our calendar has limited availability for the peak season viewing of leaves in October, but November and December still have availability and the bed and breakfast sparkles and shines at Christmas - inside and out!
